MIAMI BEACH, Florida – Strike, the payments firm with a focus on Bitcoin, is expanding its app to over 65 countries, significantly increasing its reach beyond its current presence in the United States and El Salvador. Strike CEO Jack Mallers announced this expansion on Friday at the Bitcoin 2023 conference held in Miami Beach, Florida. The Strike app utilizes Bitcoin and Lightning, a secondary network for faster and more cost-effective bitcoin transactions, to offer global payment and cross-border money transfer services. The app has undergone a redesign, featuring an entirely new user interface and now enabling users to hold funds in bitcoin (BTC) and tether (USDT).
